Stephen has over 30 years of environmental and engineering experience specialising in infrastructure management with expertise in civil and environmental engineering, including rail design, highway design, built environment design, waste management, contaminated land remediation, and pollution control. He has overseen complex overseas civil engineering projects, such as the Kuala Lumpur Mass Rapid Transit system, and more recently, the design of a $200 million underground station in Downtown San Jose, California.
Stephen has considerable transport and UK local authority expertise having served as a management director for a collaboration with Transport for Wales, and he has experience as Gateway Manager in an alliance with Carmarthenshire County Council Engineering Consultancy, and as partnership manager with Bath and North East Somerset Highways, Transportation and Waste Department. Currently, he is working with the Environment Agency and the River Severn Partnership as the project manager for the management of risk and future planning strategy with a vision to enhance the Severn Catchment through harnessing opportunities for water and environmental management to provide wider economic and societal benefits: going beyond mitigation and driving place based resilience.
