Sophie leads Advisory Services and Cities, Planning & Design in the West of the UK at Arup, across strategy and insights, people and organisation and programme and project management services, town planning, urban design, economic development, landscape and sustainable transport planning services.
Sophie has a background in design and regeneration projects and is passionate about making inclusive places for communities that embed the UNSDGs and sustainable development. She is an advocate of delivering social value as an outcome of meaningful stakeholder engagement and design integration to deliver pride, resilience, and delight in the places where people live and work.
Sophie advises local government and private sector clients on a wide range of topics including mixed use masterplanning and design, housing, mobility and sustainable development.
