Nick Harris works as a consultant to Live Nation through his development consultancy business, Litmus Properties. Nick is responsible for advancing the Cardiff Arena project, evolving the design, resolving site constraint and statutory consent issues and balancing all this against the project’s cost parameters as the project moves towards financial close. Other work he has recently been involved in includes a large scale residential development in Scotland and a nationwide venue search for Academy Music Group.
Nick has 30 years’ experience of working in the UK property market, initially as a general practice Chartered Surveyor but for the last 20 years he has specialised in property development.
Nick worked for Henry Boot Developments for 13 years, running the Scottish office for over a decade and rising to sit on the Board of the company. During this time he was responsible for winning and delivering the largest project the company has ever undertaken.
Following this he joined Robertson to sit on the Main Board of the company as Managing Director of the Property division. In this role he was responsible for Robertson’s selection as development partner on the Cardiff Arena project and led the successful bid through the Council’s public procurement process. Since leaving Robertson, Nick has continued to work on the Cardiff project in his consultancy role for Live Nation.
Nick’s previous experience includes lead roles in the development of Livingston Retail Park, Ayr Central Shopping Centre, The Carrick Resort at Loch Lomond, various residential sites and TECA (The Event Complex Aberdeen) which is 1m+ sq ft/£400m of arena, exhibition hall, conference space, two hotels, a zero carbon energy centre and 50 acres of residential land.
Nick is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen and started his career at Chesterton in Glasgow.
